Our
Mission
The purpose of the ACCMBC is to carry
out domestic and foreign mission work. We have been given permission by Canada
Revenue Agency to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the means of
preaching, music ministry, and literature. We have also been given allowance to
carry out humanitarian relief work. These objectives are very broad, and allow a
wide variety of activities, for example:
- Allows the purchase of equipment to be shared by ACC churches
- Allows reimbursement for travel for ministers and
elders when the travel is not specific to a local congregation
- Disaster relief work, as long as
volunteers reporting to the ACCMBC directly carry it out
- Music groups that include multiple
ACC congregations (Example: A number of years ago there was a Southern
Ontario choir that traveled to Hamilton, Toronto and Kitchener led by Brother
Doug Savin. Since it was not specific to any congregation, this would be
considered charitable work supported by the ACCMBC)
- Short term mission work, work teams
and projects both domestic and foreign, as long as these are controlled
directly by the ACCMBC and carried out by volunteers approved by the ACCMBC
- Any work that is not
specific to a local congregation but benefits multiple ACC congregations, or
the community at large
Many of the projects are also supported through our sister organization the
Apostolic Christian Church Foundation.
